We engaged Liam and HR Value Consulting in May 2022 to support us at our manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL. At Bocar, we are proud of our strong history and culture of being a great employer in Mexico. We commenced operations in Huntsville just as COVID hit, and we struggled to build and maintain the Bocar culture in this facility. We asked Liam to spend time in our Mexico plants to codify our unique culture, then to do a ‘fit-gap analysis’ of our core culture versus the culture in Huntsville. Liam developed a 100-day roadmap for us to navigate some of the changes needed to establish our desired culture. These included changes to our employee value proposition and recruiting process, helping us design a manufacturing bonus plan, re-educating employees on their Total Rewards package, much improved employee communications, including up-beat and informative monthly town halls, and a site Leadership Workshop using MBTI to better orientate the team on leading through people, not through tasks.
Liam was a pleasure to work with. He brought structure and experience to this challenging, ambiguous problem. He did a great job building relationships on site and managing stakeholders through the change process.
